JONATHAN LIVINGSTONE - Author

Our children were the same ages as the main characters, Louise and Michael, when I started writing 'The Secrets of London', and are a good part of the original inspiration.

I finally got round to seeking to publish the story, after a long gap.  A lot had changed in the intervening years and a major update was needed.

Here it is.  'The Secrets of London' will soon be available in all good bookshops and online.

I hope that you, or the person you give this book to, enjoy reading and re-reading 'The Secrets of London', as much as I enjoyed writing it.

THANK YOU

I'd like to thank everyone who has helped towards publishing this book.  First of all, my thanks and appreciation to my illustrator and colleague Paul Hampton.  Paul's illustrations are a match for any in children's fiction today!

Thank you to Victoria Richards and Kirsty Jackson, Senior Editor and Managing Director at publishers Cranthorpe Millner, for backing 'The Secrets of London' for publication, and for your helpful guidance; and Lauren Barnes for Marketing.  And to all your colleagues, responsible for production, sales and distribution, and other roles.  Thank you to Tim Ford, - who read the first draft - and my sister Lesley; both for your encouragement.

Thanks to all bookshops who stock and promote 'The Secrets of London'.   Do ask for the promotional poster and free-standing window display.  And thank you to everyone who buys a copy of the book, or as an eBook!

My thanks to our children, the inspiration for the leading characters of Louise and Michael.  The dedication is to Jill, Jennifer and Robert, with love and happiness.
