A MAGICAL WORLD

Here are some of the books I read, that also form part of the inspiration for 'The Secrets of London'.

I loved the ‘Paddington’ books.  Mr Toad was great fun in ‘The Wind in the Willows’.  He was always getting into trouble, but it didn't stop or discourage him.

‘Don Quixote’ was the same, in a children's version. However things turned out, he continued on his adventures with hope and innocence.

I enjoyed the cheek of the White Rabbit, in 'Alice and the White Rabbit, Their Trips About London'.  'Bill Badger and the Pirates’ was another favourite. It’s a story about friendship and loyalty, where good wins out in the end.

You can see from the front covers of some of these books, that I read them several times.

Well used copies ....

Like many of these, 'The Secrets of London' takes place in a magical world.

I have tried to create the same happiness in 'The Secrets of London'.  It's a new adventure story, for children of all ages.
